Bafana Bafana were held to a 1-1 draw against Namibia in their Cosafa Cup opener at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban on Wednesday evening.

The visitors broke the deadlock just before the half time break through Elmo Kambindu of Chippa United when he headed the ball home in the 43rd minute.

South Africa managed to draw the game level early in the second half when Rowan Human found the back of the net with a superb volley in the 48th minute.

Neither side were able to find the back of the net in 90 minutes of place as both sides had to settle for a point each in Durban.

The draw sees Bafana occupy third place in Group A with one point while Namibia are in second place on the log with the same amount of points as the host nation.

The South African national team will be looking to bounce back when they take on Botswana in the next Group A clash at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.
