Bafana Bafana have been drawn in Group D in the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament following the conclusion of the draw in Cairo on Friday evening.

The South African national team have been drawn against Morocco, Namibia and the Ivory Coast, who make up Group D.

This will be the first time in the history of the competition that 24 teams will be participating in the African tournament.

Defending champions Cameron will face the likes of Ghana, Benin and Guinea-Bissau in Group F, while hosts Egypt have been paired alongside Zimbabwe, Uganda and DR Congo in Group A.

Meanwhile, three nations are set to make their debut in the continental tournament, including Madagascar, Burundi and Mauritania.

The African tournament is set to kick off on 21 June and will run until 19 July.

Group C: Senegal, Algeria, Kenya, Tanzania
