Bafana Bafana claimed their first win in the African Nations Championship Group C encounter against Guinea at the Mandela Stadium in Kampala.
Despite Guinea’s dominance in the opening exchanges of the game, Bafana broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when Neo Maema slotted the ball into the net from inside the area.

Guinea hit back and found the equalising goal in the 37th minute after Mohamed Bangoura picked out Moise Camara, who rifled the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1.

South Africa restored their lead in the 53rd minute when Wayde Jooste accurately picked out Thabiso Kutumela to slot the ball into the bottom corner.
