Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named the most experienced team in Springbok history when he retained the same 23-man matchday squad to the one which defeated Ireland 27-20 in their opening Castle Lager Incoming Series match in Pretoria last week for the second Test at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban on Saturday.

Erasmus names squad loaded with RWC experience for Ireland showdown

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named an experienced squad featuring 20 Rugby World Cup-winners – the entire starting 15 and five players on the replacements’ bench – for their opening Castle Lager Incoming Series Test against Ireland at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday, in what is expected to be a humdinger of an encounter between the top two ranked teams in the world.

Erasmus: “Goal achieved, but it wasn’t a perfect performance”

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus said it was a case of “goal achieved” as they kicked off their 2024 season on a winning note against Wales at Twickenham with a strong second-half performance seeing them overcome a narrow 14-13 halftime lead, to register a well-deserved 41-13 victory.
