Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named the most experienced team in Springbok history when he retained the same 23-man matchday squad to the one which defeated Ireland 27-20 in their opening Castle Lager Incoming Series match in Pretoria last week for the second Test at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban on Saturday.

Erasmus names squad loaded with RWC experience for Ireland showdown

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named an experienced squad featuring 20 Rugby World Cup-winners – the entire starting 15 and five players on the replacements’ bench – for their opening Castle Lager Incoming Series Test against Ireland at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday, in what is expected to be a humdinger of an encounter between the top two ranked teams in the world.

Erasmus names strong squad for Castle Lager Incoming Series

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named a strong squad of 39 players and an additional 14 players on a standby list for the Castle Lager Incoming Series which kicks off with a challenging two Tests against Ireland on Saturday, 6 July, followed by a one-off Test against Portugal, with nine players who were not available for selection for the Wales Test and three uncapped players featuring in the 39-man squad.

Kolbe returns to the Springbok training squad

Double Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok wing Cheslin Kolbe has rejoined his teammates in Pretoria and will do his rehabilitation under the supervision of the Bok medical staff with an eye on possibly being available for selection for the opening Test of the Castle Lager Incoming Tour against Ireland.

Second Springbok alignment camp kicks off in Cape Town

The Springboks will kick off their second in-person alignment camp in Cape Town on Wednesday – a month before their opening Test of the season against Wales in London on 22 June – with a group of 38 players assembling for the two-day camp.
