Rugby history will be rewritten when the Springboks launch their 2025 season against the Barbarians at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday 28 June – the first time the famous international invitational outfit will be in action on South African soil.
Nolusindiso Booi will lead a Springbok Women team laden with Test experience against the Barbarians Women in Cape Town on Saturday, while Swys de Bruin and his coaching staff added a named a number of new players to the match-23.
The Springbok Women are keen to start their first appearance front of a home crowd in South Africa on the best possible note and as such, had no problems to focus on what needs to be done in the match week leading up to their Barbarians clash on Saturday.
The Springbok Women will face the world famous and star-studded Barbarians Women in Cape Town in two weeks’ time, while also playing Test matches against Kenya and Samoa as part of their preparations for the WXV 2 tournament in October.
Six current and former Springboks have been added to the Barbarians added to the World Cup-winning trio named in the Barbarians squad for their November internationals. (more…)
