Chiefs come into the encounter in seventh place on 32 points and are eight points off the top of the table, where Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi are both on 40 points, only separated by goal difference.
Anything but three points against relegation strugglers United, who sit bottom of the Absa Premiership, will certainly see any hope of a late push for the title dashed.
