Reigning champions Cape Town City have been drawn against Baroka, Orlando Pirates will play Golden Arrows, while Mamelodi Sundowns travel to Chippa United in their respecyive Telkom Knockout openers.

The draw for the competition was decided at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg on Monday.

The first round of fixtures are scheduled for the weekend of 27-28 October, with the dates, times and venues yet to be confirmed by the PSL.

The Citizens, who beat SuperSport United 2-1 in the final last season, will be hoping to defend their title successfully when they take on Baroka in the opening match.

Meanwhile, Sundowns will travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium when they take on Chippa United, while Orlando Pirates will visit Princess Magogo Stadium when they play Golden Arrows.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to host newly-promoted side AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium in their fixture.
