Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will each play third-tier opponents in the Last 32 of the Nedbank Cup, while defending champions Orlando Pirates go to fellow topflight side Richards Bay.
Chiefs host Gauteng ABC Motsepe League side Free Agents FC, while Sundowns will welcome Free State third-tier side Sibanye Golden Stars for the fixtures that are due to be played around the weekend of January 25-27.
Pirates have not had it their own way against Richards Bay, though they have won both league games which were played this season 1-0.
The KwaZulu-Natal side beat them 1-0 in May, and three of the other four games have ended 0-0. Richards Bay knocked Pirates out of the Carling Knockout in 2023 on penalties.
There are also other all-Premiership clashes as Sekhukhune United host Cape Town City, and Lamontville Golden Arrows welcome Chippa United.
There are also some other opportunities for giant-killing acts. TS Galaxy were giant-slayers themselves when they defeated Kaizer Chiefs as a second-tier side in the 2019 final, and now host ABC Motsepe League side CR Vasco da Gama.
Mighty Eagles from the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League go to AmaZulu, and Polokwane City host North West third-tier outfit The Bees FC.
