Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso will be aiming for a focused and commanding performance from his side when they face Golden Arrows in the MTN8 semi-finals.

The Brazilians booked their place in the last four after they secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Polokwane City at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on August 8.

Sundowns are one step away from reaching the final when they take on Arrows at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

Cardoso has shared his thoughts ahead of the Brazilians’ MTN8 semi-final clash against Arrows as they look to book their place in the final.

“When we settled on the team, we knew that there would be things that could happen,” Cardoso said via SuperSport.

“We also knew that let’s give ourselves seven to 10 matches to see if we could do it or not,” Cardoso said.

“We will evaluate until the end of the market and see what will happen, I don’t know, there’s no predicting.”

“If you ask any coach, they would like to have the best players in the world. I have some of the best players in South Africa and we have to work to develop players too.”
