Sekhukhune United head coach Cedric Kaze has shared his thoughts ahead of Babina Noko’s MTN8 semi-final showdown against Orlando Pirates at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Babina Noko advanced to this stage of the competition after they secured a thrilling 4-3 extra-time victory over AmaZulu FC in the quarter-finals on August 9.
Sekhukhune will now turn their attention to the semi-final clash against the Buccaneers when they meet at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium for a place in the final.
With a place in the final at stake, Kaze will be hoping his side can build on their recent positive response and produce another determined performance against the Buccaneers.
“It was the third game in six days (against Polokwane City), and finishing it with a win is very important because we have a very busy week, and it was good to finish on a positive note,” Kaze said via SuperSport.
“We will get some rest and recover and prepare well for the MTN8 semifinal. Yeah, it’s the kind of reaction we were waiting for, and it’s a (Limpopo) derby.
“It’s a good way to react and get back to the winning side of the league. The difference was in the attitude, in the belief we wanted to do something.”
