Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has since opened up on the Brazilians’ performance to win their first-ever Carling Black Label Cup trophy.

A brace by Cassius Mailula and goals by Grant Kekana and Sphelele Mkhulise was enough for Sundowns to secure a comfortable 4-0 win over Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

“Congratulations to the entire football club, congratulations to this awesome group of players. It’s an honour and a privilege to be their coach,” he told SuperSport TV.

“Congratulations to senior management, the Motsepe family. They deserve this, especially after the disappointment, particularly in the MTN8.

“And also for the supporters, we had to do it for them. So congratulations to the entire club, the coaches. But I can’t give enough credit to this fantastic group of players.”
