Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa has revealed he’s unsure about his future at the Spanish club after an offer for his services emerged.
After leaving Sundowns, where he notched 37 goals and 23 assists in 88 appearances across all competitions, the Brazilian joined Cultural Leonesa in September.
Ribeiro initially had a slow start in Spain, but he has gradually settled into his new surroundings. Since finding his rhythm, he has scored three goals and provided one assist in 12 appearances for Leonesa.
His impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as he was named Cultural Leonesa’s Player of the Month for November.
“I’m very pleased with the Player of the Month award and thank you very much,” Ribeiro said on the club’s YouTube page.
“The truth is I’m very happy at Cultural. I feel very happy here with my teammates, with the team and it’s a city that I love very much.
“I don’t know about my future. Of course there was a club that had on offer for me. I always leave those things to my agent to sort out.
“I’m very focused here on Cultural and well, I think things are going well. I’m very happy here but I don’t know what will happen with my future and I’m not really thinking about it much.
“The truth is I’m very happy here and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but what matters is what happens.
“I’m really, really happy here and I hope things go well,” he concluded.
