Ajax Cape Town has revealed that Rivaldo Coetzee and Mosa Lebusa will undergo scans on the hamstrings to discover the severity of their injuries.

Lebusa limp off the field against Cape Town City in the second half of the game after he sustained a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Coetzee suffered a similar injury during the same match after completing a sliding challenge on the edge of the box.

The knock came as a massive blow to the Kakamas-born defender, who received a call-up to Bafana Bafana’s World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso and Ghana earlier in the week, reports the Ajax Cape Town website.

However, the Urban Warriors have since confirmed a decision on whether Coetzee will be withdrawn from the national team squad will be made after completes his scan.

Ajax Cape Town will now go head-to-head against Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on October 15.

The match at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 18:00.
