Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is expecting a difficult encounter when they meet Stellenbosch FC in their Carling Black Label Knockout Cup opener.

The Glamour Boys will take on Stellies in the round of 16 following the conclusion of the draw at FNB Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Amakhosi and Stellies have already squared off this campaign in the Betway Premiership, with the Soweto giants coming out 2-0 winners in the opening clash of the 2025-26 season.

However, the dates, venues and kick-off times are yet to be announced by the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

“It’s an exciting draw,” Petersen told his club’s official website.

“We have played them this season and had a good result, so we are looking forward to going back to Cape Town.

“We know it’s going to be difficult, but we want to go all the way in this competition. The guys will be up for it and eager to give our fans something to celebrate.”
