The KwaZulu-Natal derby kicks off the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals as Richards Bay and Durban City FC battle for bragging rights and a spot in the semi-final at the Richards Bay Stadium on Saturday.

Richards Bay made their way to this stage of the competition after they secured a 4-1 victory over Chippa United at the Richards Bay Stadium on Sunday, 5 October.

In their most recent game, Richards Bay suffered a 2-1 defeat to Orbit College FC in the Betway Premiership played at the same venue.

Durban City, meanwhile, reached this stage of the competition after they secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Polokwane City at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday, 3 October.

They come into this fixture looking to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu in their last Betway Premiership fixture played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 18 October.

When the two sides meet at the Richards Bay Stadium, it will be the first competitive clash between the two sides.
