Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has praised striker Etiosa Ighodaro for his performance against AS Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Amakhosi made history when they qualified for the Confederation Cup Group Stages for the first time following their 3-1 win against AS Simba on Sunday afternoon.

Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro opened his account by scoring his first goal for the club in that victory.

Kaze has since praised the striker for his overall performance, while also reserving special praise for Makabi Lilepo.

“We wanted to try get different combinations, to get players who can give the extra pass, players who can deliver on set-pieces, players who can shoot as well,” Kaze told SABC Sport.

“To have a player like Ighodaro in the box that is a striker that’s difficult in the air, it helped us as well and the speed of Lilepo also you have different options.”
