Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebohang Maboe understands the significance of the fixture and the tough test that awaits against Zamalek SC.
Amakhosi face a stern test against Egyptian heavyweights Zamalek SC at the Al Salam Stadium on Saturday.
With 10 points from five matches, the Glamour Boys occupy first place in Group D heading into this encounter.
A single point will be enough to send the Soweto side through, as Zamalek sit on eight points, Al Masry on seven and ZESCO United on three.
“We know it’s going to be very difficult. It’s not going to come easy,” Maboe told his club’s official website.
“But as players, we’ve spoken among ourselves and we understand what needs to be done to make sure the team goes to the next round. That’s our main focus right now and making sure we get through.
“The most important thing is that we are creating chances.
“Credit must go to our frontline players for getting into those positions. It shows we’re doing something right.
“Of course, it would be better with a higher conversion rate, but the players are working hard to make sure we start finishing the chances we create.”
