Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Nuno Santos says they are fully focused on claiming a positive result in the CAF Champions League final first leg on Sunday.

The Brazilians will welcome the Moroccan side to Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday for the first leg of the continental showdown.

The Tshwane giants will then travel to the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat for the second leg of the tie.

Sundowns will be looking to bounce back after a 3-2 midweek defeat to TS Galaxy FC in the Betway Premiership.

Santos emphasised that the team’s priority is now firmly on the first leg, with a shared determination among players and the club to lift the trophy and deliver joy to their supporters.

“I think we need to move on from that. There is nothing we can do to change what happened before. Our focus now is on the first leg of the Champions League. That’s the most important thing for us now,” Santos told the media.

“There’s total focus on the final of the Champions League. We want to win, the players want to win, the club wants to win this trophy – to give that joy for our fans, our supporters, and that’s what we’re working to do.”
