Lindokuhle Zikhali then handed his side the lead in the 58th minute before Lebone Seema scored a 90th-minute equaliser.

The draw sees Pirates remain in second place in the Betway Premiership standings with 55 points after 24 matches, while Richards Bay moved up to 10th place on the log with 27 points from 24 matches.

Pirates had the chance to go one point ahead of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns but were unable to secure the victory.
