Sekhukhune United have officially unveiled striker Lehlohonolo Mojela following his move from Stellenbosch FC.
The 29-year-old return to his roots in Limpopo, having also previously turned out for TS Sporting, Platinum City Rovers, Casric Stars and TS Galaxy, where he made his name.
Sekhukhune will be a sixth club in the last six seasons for the player though, so he will be hoping to settle down and help the club mount a most unlikely title bid.
After playing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Mojela rose to prominence during a fine season with Galaxy in the 2023/24 campaign when he scored seven goals in 28 starts.
That promoted a move to Stellenbosch, but injury blighted his first campaign with the side and he was sidelined for most of it. Still, he scored six goals in eight starts when he was available.
But things turned sour in the current campaign and he last played for the side in early November, before being asked to train away from the main group with a move being prepared for him.
Sekhukhune are currently in third place, three points behind Betway Premiership leaders Orlando Pirates, though they have played a game more.
They are next in action on January 20 against ironically, Stellenbosch FC in Polokwane.
