Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has dismissed rumours that Mbekezeli Mbokazi is set to join Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire FC.
Mbokazi has been solid in the heart of the Buccaneers this campaign and has scored one goal and registered one assist in 18 appearances across all competitions.
Recent reports have suggested that Chicago Fire FC have offered a whopping $3 million (over R50 million) offer for Mbokazi.
However, Ouaddou has since downplayed those rumours, stating that the 20-year-old is still a player at Pirates.
“What I can tell you, I am not aware about this news, for me, (Mbekezeli) Mbokazi is still in my group,” said Ouaddou.
“Like I said, I just rotate the players. He is one of the most important players in my group.
“For me, he is still with me and that’s it, he is still my player.”
