Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has praised his side’s team spirit following their victory over Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening.
The Buccaneers extended their unbeaten run in the Betway Premiership after clinching a 3-1 victory over Abafana Bes’thende at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
A double from Yamela Mbuthuma and a goal from Nkosikhona Ndaba cancelled out Thokozani Khumalo’s goal as Pirates walked away with all three points.
The Sea Robbers have moved up to second place in the league standings with 22 points from 10 matches, three points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
“It’s the team spirit we want in Orlando Pirates. Everybody is important,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV after the game.
“I always say there’s no substitute, there are only players and impact players and we continue like that, we hope to keep this dynamic, team spirit until the end of the season.
“And I can tell you that if we keep this team spirit, if we keep this end to go forward to score goals and to be strong to keep the self-develop, I think we can have some good ambitions.”
