Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has opened up after scoring his first goal for the Soweto giants.

The 28-year-old arrived at the club from SuperSport United, where he scored three goals and assisted a further three from 78 appearances across all competitions.

Ndlovu made his debut for Amakhosi against Stellenbosch FC and made his second appearance against Polokwane City, where he scored his first goal for the club.

The midfielder has touched on making his debut for Amakhosi and scoring his first goal for the club.

“Obviously, there are some nerves, but generally I am a very calm person by nature. When I was called to come on, I thought, ‘Okay, this is pressure. What do you do under pressure? You stay calm’,” Ndlovu told his club’s official website.

“The people I have around me play a big role in keeping me calm, which I really appreciate. As a footballer, you want to play in front of big crowds, so I embrace the massive support this Club has and I am happy to go out and play my best football.

“I don’t have to prove myself to anybody; I just want to enjoy my football and serve the Club with honesty and give everything I have to the cause.

“It was a great feeling. Everyone who played in the first half did their jobs so it was up those of us who came on to finish it. That’s why the goal is special for me, because it came at the right time. That’s what I call ‘making your mark’.
