Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has opened up about a challenging season marked by injuries and a demanding schedule across both domestic and continental competitions.
The 30-year-old returned from injury and made his first appearance in their 4-1 win over Magesi FC, playing the full 90 minutes.
The Angolan also featured in their goalless draw against Polokwane City, where he played 47 minutes before he was substituted.
Miguel admits that the lack of recovery time has made it a difficult period in his career, but one that has also delivered important lessons for the future.
“It’s the first time in my career that I have missed so many games,” Miguel told his club’s official website.
“It has been a bit difficult this season, playing CAF as well as PSL so there hasn’t been much time between games to recover.
“It has been a lesson to me, and I must look at ways to avoid this situation going forward.”
