Orbit College FC head coach Pogiso Makhoye believes their recent win over TS Galaxy was a crucial boost ahead of their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orbit are set to welcome Sundowns to the Olympia Park when they square off in the Betway Premiership.

The Mswenko Boys will come into this fixture off the back of a 2-1 victory over TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit.

Orbit currently sit in 15th place in the Betway Premiership standings with 18 points from 20 matches.

Makhoye highlighted that the squad’s priority is to secure enough points in the coming matches to ensure survival in the league.

“[Beating TS Galaxy was an] important win because we are playing the defending champions on Tuesday,” Makhoye said.

“At least game number 20, let’s get three points on the board because it doesn’t make sense when teams that we are fighting relegation with are dropping points and we also do the same. I think these four points from this week will help us at least to relieve pressure. But the process is still there; we are learning.

“We need to fight and it’s going to be a long way. Our target is to ensure that in at least five games we get four points. The priority is to make sure we stay in this league.”
