Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that winger Kobamelo Kodisang has joined Portuguese side AFS Vila das Aves on loan until the end of the season.

Kodisang joined Sundowns at the beginning of the 2024-25 season and made 13 appearances in all competitions while scoring two goals and grabbing two assists.

The 25-year-old has since completed a move to the Portuguese top-flight side on a season-long loan, where he will spend the 2025-26 season.

The Gauteng-born winger is no stranger to playing in Portugal, having spent five years in the country playing for the likes of Sanjoanense, Braga B, and Moreirense.

Over the course of his career, Kodisang has scored 21 goals and registered 11 assists in 128 in all competitions.

“Kodisang joins AFS,” the club said in a statement.

“The South African winger arrives on loan with an option to buy and is already training under José Mota.

“Kobamelo Kodisang is back in Portugal, this time to play for Vila das Aves.

“The winger arrives at AFS on a one-year loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, with the club having the option to purchase the player.”
