Stellenbosch FC forward Muzomuhle Khanyi opens up after scoring his first goal for the club against Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership.
Khanyi arrived at the club after joining Stellies from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Hungry Lions FC.
The 26-year-old has already made eight appearances across all competitions while scoring one goal and providing one assist so far this season.
Khanyi opened his account for the Maroons in their thrilling 4-3 victory over Golden Arrows at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening.
“It’s such a good feeling to score my first goal for Stellenbosch FC and to make an impact like that off the bench,” Khanyi said after the match.
“I think it is one of the things I will always be proud of, to come on as a sub and make that impact like that. It was amazing to score my first goal, and to do it at home as well, so I am very happy.
“We’ve been in a tough space where we couldn’t score in the past few games, but last night’s game was one of those where us as the strikers saw the opportunity and took the chances on offer.
“We’re obviously not happy to have conceded three goals at home, but I’m happy that we were able to score as many as we did and to get the win.”
