Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Hope FC have confirmed that highly-rated attacker Edmilson Chaney has completed a move to reigning Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates.

The 19-year-old came through the ranks at Cape Town Spurs Academy before he secured a move to Hope FC.

He became one of the club’s standout players after his impressive performances to help Hope FC win the regional Stream A title before they secured the provincial crown as well.

His breakthrough campaign came in the 2025/26 season. Chaney played an important role as Hope FC won their Western Cape ABC Motsepe League’s Stream A title before going on to claim the provincial crown.

The victory secured them a place in the national playoffs, where they went on to secured promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The Western Cape outfit has since confirmed that the talented youngster has secured a move to the Buccaneers as a result of his efforts for the club.
