Former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town striker Tendai Ndoro has passed away at the age of 40.

The football fraternity was in shock after it was reported that Ndoro was found dead at his home in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Ndoro has previously played for Nico United FC, Chicken Inn FC, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Orlando Pirates, Al-Faisaly, Ajax Cape Town, and Highlands Park.

Over the course of his career, Ndoro has made 145 appearances, scoring 43 and assisting a further 16.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former striker, Tendai Ndoro (2015–2017),” Pirates announced.

“The club extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
