Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando da Cruz was left frustrated by another costly error as Amakhosi played to their third draw in the Betway Premiership this season.

The Glamour Boys were forced to share the spoils with Rise and Shine after playing out to a 1-1 draw in the Betway Premiership.

Lebohang Maboe opened the scoring for Amakhosi but an own goal by Brandon Petersen saw both sides share the spoils at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Da Cruz admits his side must find a way to turn their chances into goals while cutting out costly mistakes after another match in which defensive lapses proved costly.

“We created chances, we didn’t make the break and when you didn’t make the break you give opportunities to the opponent to come back and for the moment it’s few weeks when we make a mistake every time, we concede a goal so we need to continue to work,” Da Cruz told SuperSport after the game.

“It’s very easy to analyse, (but) before we didn’t make mistakes and we then give chance for the opponents to score but now since Richards Bay then Siwelele and today Polokwane the opponent doesn’t create chance but we make big mistakes and we let them score goals.”
