Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ethan Chislett says he is currently at his best physical state after his recent return from injury.
The 27-year-old made his debut for Amakhosi in their 2-1 defeat to Stellenbosch FC in February following a seven-month injury layoff.
Chislett has now been given a run in the squad and has made five appearances, with his last appearance in their win over TS Galaxy over the weekend.
The attacking midfielder admits he is his “own harshest critic” and is relishing the chance to score goals for the club.
“Physically, I’m probably in the best place I have been. I think I’m my own harshest critic; I always have been, so I want to score goals,” said Chislett as quoted by SABC Sports.
“So I just need to start scoring – and I’m getting in good positions. I think for me the worrying thing would be if I wasn’t getting into those positions.
“But I’m getting into the box; I’m arriving late, and that’s how I score my goals, so I think it’s just a matter of time, to be honest. I’m patient and I’m enjoying my football.”
