Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis paid tribute to his teammates, coaches and supporters after the club’s title success.

The Buccaneers ended their campaign on a high note after securing a 2-0 victory over Orbit College in their final Betway Premiership match of the season.

As a result of the win, Pirates ended their 14-year wait for the Betway Premiership title, winning the title by two points over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Appollis has thanked everyone who played a role in helping him settle following his arrival at the start of the season.

“First of all, I want to give credit to the team for helping me and to the club who signed me at the beginning of the season,” Appollis told SuperSport TV after the game.

“I just want to say thank you to the board and coach for believing in me and for my teammates because it’s a collective and we did it together.

“So, I just want to say thank you to everyone and one more thing we can’t forget it, our fans, they have been hard on us but it help us to today and we managed to be champions so I just want to say thank you to the fans in South Africa, there are some not here today so I just want to say thank you to the fans back home.”
