Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis says the Buccaneers remain fully focused on their mission to secure their first Betway Premiership title in over a decade.

The Buccaneers extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches following their 3-0 victory over Magesi FC over the weekend.

Pirates currently sit in second place in the Betway Premiership with 65 points from 28 matches, three points adrift of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Appollis is in incredible form this campaign and has scored nine goals and registered six assists in 28 league appearances so far this season.

“It was a very important three points for us today,” Appollis told the club’s media after the game.

“The boys did well, and I’m happy with the overall performance from the squad. Even the impact players who came on gave us more energy and helped the team a lot.

“We wanted to score more goals, but we’ll take the 3-0 win and focus on the next game.

“All thanks to my teammates for sharing the ball with me, and I try to do the same for them. It’s a team effort. That’s why we have so many players contributing in the squad.

“It’s all about the team.”
