Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams has warned his side to stay sharp ahead of their international friendly against Panama.

South Africa will face Panama for the first time in a friendly encounter at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

They will follow this friendly with a trip to Cape Town when they take on the same opponents at the DHL Stadium on Tuesday.

Williams has highlighted the importance of thorough preparation ahead of Bafana Bafana’s upcoming clash, noting that the team has studied their opponents closely and understands the threat they pose.

“We have analysed them, we have watched some video clips, and we have familiarised ourselves about them.,” said Williams.

“They are a team we have to take seriously because they do not need a lot of chances to punish you, and that is what we saw in their last World Cup qualifier.”
