Bafana Bafana captain Neo Maema says they will give the supporters a “great show” when they take on Algeria in their African National Championship match.
South Africa and Algeria are set to go head-to-head when they square off at the Mandela National Stadium on Friday.
Molefi Ntseki have put Bafana through their paces in their final training session at the FUFA Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
Maema says his side are determined to get their journey in the tournament off to a positive start.
“For us as players, it is mainly about enjoying the tournament first because football is entertainment and making sure that we give the supporters a great show,” Maema said.
“Also, it is a tournament at the end of the day, and we have to prepare accordingly and play tournament football.”
Kick-off has been set for 4pm.
