Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has praised Amajita coach Raymond Mdaka after claiming his side secured back-to-back COSAFA U20 Men’s Championships.

South Africa successfully defended their COSAFA Cup trophy following their 2-1 victory over Mozambique at the ABB Stadium in Matola.

The South African U20 side have now claimed their 11th COSAFA Cup trophy and their third consecutive title.

Mosimane praised Mdaka for his work in developing the national U20 side, saying the team is providing a strong foundation for the SA U23’s and senior national team.

“What we are doing is very, very good. Congratulations to coach Raymond.

“He has repeatedly taken the team forward, put the team up there and also given us the foundation for the SA Under-23s and to Bafana-Bafana.

“He said, look at what we have, and what is coming.”
