Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng has vowed that South Africa will continue fighting to make the nation proud on the world stage.

The 21-year-old played a starring role in helping Bafana Bafana secure a hard-fought 1-1 victory over Korea Republic in their final Group A match.

Hugo Broos’ men will now take on co-hosts Canada in the Round of 32 when they meet at the Los Angeles Stadium on Sunday.

Mofokeng insists the squad remains fully committed to going as far as possible at the World Cup while carrying the hopes of millions back home.

“We are doing well for our country, and we must keep fighting for it, because if you don’t fight, no one else will do it for you.

“We just need to keep working hard to elevate our nation on the global football map.

“We will fight to go as far as possible. We truly believe in our ability to achieve this; we will trust in God and give everything we have to get where we want to be.”
