Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos says he will use their international friendly against Zambia to assess his players ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations at the end of the year.
Broos has named his 23-man squad for their upcoming international friendly match against Zambia, but he has named two uncapped players in his team.
The likes of Orlando Pirates midfielder Masindi Nemtanjela and Sekhukhune United attacker Keletso Makgalwa have earned call-ups to the national team setup.
South Africa will take on Chipolopolo when they meet at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, 15 November.
The South African national team is scheduled to assemble for camp in Johannesburg on Monday, 10 November 2025.
“There are a few new boys, a few others are not there because I know those players,” Broos said.
“So, I didn’t have to see them. But I took this opportunity in this game against Zambia to call some new players and to see them in training, see how their mentality is and maybe in the future we can count on them.”
