The Reds grounded out an 18-7 win against the Jaguares in an error-strewn game in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

The Jaguares were dominant throughout the game in terms of possession and territory but they were blunted by a Reds defence. The resolute defending earned the Australians a third win in a row.

The Reds opened their account with a pair of penalties from scrumhalf James Tuttle, before the Jaguares responded with Bautista Delguy going over off the back of a powerful scrum.

The visitors then went ahead when hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa went over off the back of a rolling maul, giving them an 11-7 half-time lead.

After a sloppy third quarter, the Reds managed to extend their lead as wing Filipo Daugunu scored after an initial break from No 8 Caleb Timu.

From then on the Jaguares dominated the match, putting the Reds defence through an acid test only to be repelled by a side that simply refused to fold.
