Malcolm Marx will lead the Lions against the Vodacom Bulls in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Marx takes over from injured skipper Warren Whiteley, who was ruled out for six to eight weeks with a pectoral muscle injury.

There are a further three changes to the team that lost against the Stormers at Newlands.

Hacjivah Dayimani replaces Whiteley in the loose trio, while Ryno Herbst comes in at lock for Marvin Orie, who misses the game with a groin niggle.

There is one change to the backline as Aphiwe Dyantyi returns to the starting XV after coming off the bench against the Stormers.
