Elton Jantjies is one of 13 Springbok squad members who have been released to their provinces for Currie Cup duty this weekend.

Western Province are the biggest beneficiaries, as they welcome back five players in Wilco Louw, Bongi Mbonambi, Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Damian Willemse and Ruhan Nel.

WP’s opponents on Saturday, the Blue Bulls, have Trevor Nyakane, Marco van Staden, Ivan van Zyl and Embrose Papier back.

Elsewhere, Jantjies, Lionel Mapoe and Aphiwe Dyantyi have been given the all-clear to feature for the Lions in their must-win game against the Pumas, while S’bu Nkosi has been sent back to the Sharks.

Meanwhile, overseas-based Boks, Willie le Roux (Wasps), Francois Louw (Bath), Faf de Klerk (Sale) and Franco Mostert (Gloucester), have returned to England and are expected to feature in their teams’ Champions Cup and Challenge Cup matches this weekend.
