The Kings will head into this Friday’s clash against Edinburgh without the services of key forwards Andisa Ntsila and Luvuyo Papama.

After a break from competition, Kings coach Deon Davids has named the strongest squad available, but both Ntsila and Papama are unavailable.

‘Luvuyo unfortunately, tore a hamstring muscle during training and he is likely to be out for three to four weeks as a result, while Andisa suffered a concussion and mandatory protocol requires that he sit out for a minimum of two weeks while we monitor his condition,’ team doctor Clement Plaatjies commented.

Meanwhile, squad captain Michael Willemse, flyhalf Oliver Zono and wing Michael Makase are still completing respective injury recoveries.

Davids has also omitted Stefan Greeff and Bobby de Wee from the touring group as per a player-management plan, while on-loan Mzamo Majola has returned to the Sharks.

In addition, loan signing Anthony Volmink was not considered for the Edinburgh trip due to family commitments.

Kings squad: Schalk Ferreira, Pieter Scholtz, Martin Dreyer, Njabulo Gumede, Rossouw de Klerk, Tango Balekile, Stephan Coetzee, Lindokuhle Welemu, Dries van Schalkwyk, Jurie van Vuuren, Martinus Burger, Eital Bredenkamp, Freddie Ngoza, Ruaan Lerm, Rudi van Rooyen, Godlen Masimla, Rowan Gouws, Kurt Coleman, Berton Klaasen, Harlon Klaasen, Martin du Toit, Alshaun Bock, Yaw Penxe, Masixole Banda, Ntabeni Dukisa.
