Eastern Province, the Sharks and Western Province showed their attacking intent at the U16 Girls Week tournament staged at Jeppe High School in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The U16 fixtures scheduled for Monday were postponed until Wednesday, due to the adverse weather conditions in Johannesburg. All eight matches were completed on Wednesday, with EP recording the biggest win.

The game between EP and the Limpopo Blue Bulls was in the balance, before the Eastern Cape side moved up a gear in the second stanza. Centres Julene Haas and Lukhanye Lolo scored two tries apiece to boost their side to a 31-5 victory.

Western Province scored four tries in their 22-0 win against the Golden Lions, while the Sharks downed Griquas 24-10, and SWD were too strong for the Valke, narrowly winning their match by 10-7.
