Two-time Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok captain Siya Kolisi will retain the captain’s armband when the world champions return to the field in the Castle Lager Incoming Series, which kicks off against Ireland in Pretoria on Saturday, 6 July, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus announce.
Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus has confirmed that Siya Kolisi will be captain for the Castle Lager Incoming Series against Ireland in July.
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus named a strong squad of 39 players and an additional 14 players on a standby list for the Castle Lager Incoming Series which kicks off with a challenging two Tests against Ireland on Saturday, 6 July, followed by a one-off Test against Portugal, with nine players who were not available for selection for the Wales Test and three uncapped players featuring in the 39-man squad.
The Springboks will line up against Rugby World Cup opponents, Scotland and England, before taking on Wales in the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour in November, with the last Tests confirmed on Monday.
