Bidvest Wits defender Pentjie Zulu is prepared to fill the gap in defence when they face SuperSport United following the suspension of Sifiso Hlanti.

The 26-year-old looks set to replace the suspended Sifiso Hlanti, who picked up a red card against Highlands Park earlier this month.

The former Jomo Cosmos defender praised Hlanti’s quality, but feels confident enough to replace him in defence.

‘Hlanti is a very good player, but I want to make sure people don’t even notice his absence. I’m very much prepared to fill his gap,’ Zulu told Kickoff.com.

Zulu’s main objective is to make it into the Clever Boy first team and he is prepared to fight for his spot.

‘If you are given a chance you must grab it and use it to the fullest. My aim is to never return to the bench again. I’m more than prepared to give Supersport United a fight [tomorrow],’ he added.

Bidvest Wits travel to the Mbombela Stadium to take on SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
