Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Percy Tau says he is staying grounded and solely focused on doing well for his side in all competitions this season.

The 22-year old scored a brace for his side during their 4-1 victory over Free State Stars at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder says he is solely focused on doing well for the Brazilians but admits that he was delighted to have netted a brace and to have collected all three points.

‘I just try and do what I know. What they [the people praising me] say, it’s positive, but the focus is on my football,’ Tau said after the match.

‘Eish, you know I always miss.

‘But it’s good that I got two goals. I think we did well, and it was hot, but we did our best and we are happy to win today.’

Mamelodi Sundowns turn their focus to the Fifa Club World Cup, where they will take on the winner of the match between Antlers and Aukland City on December 11 in Osaka.
