Former Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic won his first trophy with Egyptian giants Zamalek two weeks after his appointment.

The White Knights were crowned Egypt Cup champions after Sredojevic guided his side to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Pyramids FC at the Borg El Arab Stadium on Sunday.

Zamalek opened the scoring in the 51st minute through a goal from Youssef Obama before Achraf Bencharki put the game to bed by bagging a brace to fire the Egyptian giants to their second-consecutive title.

Sredojevic was delighted with the victory and took to Twitter to thank the club’s fans and his technical team.

‘It is honour and privilege to coach a walking legend of Zamalek and Egyptian football our captain SHIKABALA serious guy from Aswan otherwise extended hand of coaching on the field of play keeping club and supporters at heart giving his best for the team to win Egyptian cup.

‘Thank you supporters for support, management for managing, technical team for serving the team but our players are absolute heroes of the day for up to last detail executed the tactical plan and convincingly won Egyptian cup against very well-coached top-quality team of Pyramids 3-0.’
