The 39-year-old began his journey at the Moroccan outfit when he joined the club from Mamelodi Sundowns in July this year.
Mokwena was granted special leave and was unable to finish the campaign with three games remaining in the 2024-25 season.
Wydad has since confirmed that Mokwena has mutually parted ways with the club with immediate effect.
The South African mentor managed to help the club secure a third-place finish in the league and also helped them qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup.
“As I say goodbye, I carry unforgettable memories from Wydad, a club that will forever remain in my heart,” Mokwena stated.
“I wish the team, staff, and fans tremendous success in the new season and the Club World Cup. May you continue to make history and inspire us all. Dima Wydad.”
