Rama close to Chiefs deal – reports

Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele is reportedly close to completing a deal that will take him to Naturena, as Kaizer Chiefs look poised for a busy transfer window.

The Glamour Boys announced they would be making massive changes to their side yesterday, with veteran defenders Siboniso Gaxa and Morgan Gould set to be amongst those on their way out, reports SoccerLaduma.

According to reports, Mphahlele has already been offered a deal with the Soweto giants, one that could see him turn his back on the league winners.

The Amakhosi have already confirmed the signing of Sibusiso Khumalo from SuperSport United, a deal that sees Keegan Ritchie moving the other way.

The deal for Rama, however, would see the defender join on a free. The 26-year-old’s contract at Chloorkop is set to expire by the month’s end.

Though the player has been negotiating a new deal with the Brazilians for several months, reports seem to suggest the Glamour Boys are in pole position as things stand.

Unless the deal hits an obstacle soon , it is widely expected that the player will form part of the new-look Chiefs squad next season.

Rama made 27 appearances for Chiefs this term, contributing two assists.
